Project F

Stands for Forced Induction Froggy.
Hahahaha.
Got numbers of possibility.
First, engine transplant. Best choice since can use Daihatsu YRV Turbo engine.
Original engine with original turbo setup.
The power given range from 130hp to 140hp, equivalent to 1.6-1.8L car.
Downside is must go thru JPJ to endorse the engine.
Price around RM5k-7k depending on setup.

Second is Bolt On Turbo. Easiest but not cheapest.
Use original Myvi engine but add turbo system.
Power given depends on the setup and tuning can go as low as 110hp to 140hp (even more).
Better warranty and tuning (new parts too) from well known tuners (Speedwork).
No need to go thru JPJ since still using original engine.
Downside is more expensive, RM7k to RM8k.
Original engine block and gearbox reliability.

Third is Bolt On Supercharger.
Same procedure like Bolt On Turbo but use compressor instead of Turbo.
Power given is more or less Turbo but more stable and linear. Easier to drive.
Proper tuning and setup from reputable tuners (Powerzone).
Downside is more or less like turbo
Not as efficient as turbo since compressor use engine pulley power. (Turbo use exhaust waste power).

Compulsory setup to upgrade.
  • 15" wheel.
  • Bigger front disc and must use rear disc brake.
  • Chassis strengthening (foam or chassis bar).
  • Bucket seat for better handling comfort.
  • Gearbox oil cooler.
